For those of you who know me...you know that I love clothes! I love shoes! I love bags! I love shopping :D So then, it makes sense that I really do not have any NEED for any new things. I am quite satisfied with my possesions.
Every fall, my mom takes my sister and I school shopping. By school shopping we mean, clothes shopping ha. We get new outfits for our upcoming semesters. Well...since this year we have enough clothes to last us a long time, my mom decided that instead of clothes shopping, she'll give us a gift card for Walmart. This way, we can get groceries and things that we need for our apartment. Brilliant! My mom is so smart :) And no...that's not what I get from my mom haha.
Ok...so then guess what came in the mail? Yep, a 30% off coupon for Kohls. That's all it took and my mom decided that she actually wanted to take us shopping for clothes :) Now I completely understand why I have this slight addiction ha. If there is a sale...then I go crazy. I can't help it. Apparently it is in my blood! It makes sense ;)
Alas! We went shopping! My sister was unable to go because of school, so it was just my mom and me...but it worked out because my mom and I can shop for hours (which we did) and my sis only lasts about an hour and she's pooped. This shopping experience was absolutely fantastic! I've never been so excited or satisfied by the purchases that I've made!
Recently I have decided that I am going to change my look. I'm switching up my wardrobe! Woot! I'm going for a vintage-indie look. Very awesome if you ask me! I'm going to be mixing patterns and color schemes, etc etc. Oh! And I'm totally going to start sewing my own clothes! I have already found some awesome websites with sick patterns! Holla! :D
So...since I've decided on a new look, I had to shop at some places that I haven't shopped at really at all. Sad, but true. So after getting some fabulous things from Kohls...we made our way to the DI! Oh. my. gosh. It was on this day that I fell in love with the DI. I absolutely love it. My mom and I had so much fun searching through all of the silly things in order to find the perfect set of clothes! I will also be shopping at Savers, other thrift stores, Ross, and much much more! I am going to need to get creative...which shouldn't be a problem. This new look was inspired by two sisters that I think are awesome, and a couple of cool websites/blogs. Thanks everyone for the inspiration!
The above outfit was not one that I purchased ;)
I got 8 tops, 3 skirts, a dress, 3 belts, 3 pairs of shoes, a dress, and two bags for just over 100 dollars! We had to go to quite a few stores, but it was totally worth it! Oh my we are awesome at finding a good deal! If you ever want to go shopping let me know! I'm always down!
I have officially begun my journey to a new look/new wardrobe!
